As part of Caritas Lebanon Youth’s long-term projects with social, environmental, humanitarian, and developmental goals, 12 young men and women from various sectors in Lebanon, led by the Deputy General Coordinator of Youth, Mr. Charli Khalil, participated in the second camp held in Germany.

Caritas Lebanon, the social pastoral arm of the Catholic Church, represented by its President Father Michel Abboud, participated in the celebration of the beatification of Patriarch Estephan Douaihy, with a noticeable presence of Caritas Lebanon’s Sectors from all the country, and Caritas Lebanon’s youth, who played a significant role in organizing the event held in Bkerke.

A delegation form Caritas MONA was welcomed into Caritas Lebanon’s headquarters in Sin El Fil by President Fr. Michel Abboud, with the purpose of exploring ways to broaden cooperation between Caritas sisters in the MENA region, to face the continuous challenges arising at a regional scale.

Caritas Lebanon held its first annual general assembly for the year 2024 at its headquarters in Sin el-Fil, in which His Excellency Bishop Antoine Bou Najm, who supervises Caritas’ work in the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Lebanon, participated, representing His Beatitude the Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rai.

Caritas Lebanon president Father Michel Abboud, assisted by the former President of the League Father Louis Samaha, Father Joseph Charbel, celebrated the graduation of 72 students from the Technical Education and Training Institute, which was established in 2009 in Haouch El-Omara Zahle, with a Divine Liturgy in Saint Charbel Church Zahle.

Patriarch Sfeir Center participated in Zahle 2024 exhibition, under the patronage of Minister of Industry George Boujikian, Zahle Taanayel Municipality and the Industrialists Association. The event lasted for three days, from July 5 to 7, 2024.
