Caritas Lebanon President Father Michel Abboud visited the Imam of Dar Al Fatwa in Tripoli Mufti Sheikh Muhammad Imam, congratulating him on being recently elected as Mufti of Tripoli and the North. Accompanied by the Head of Caritas Lebanon Youth Department Peter Mahfouz, the field official in the Emergency Response Unit Captain George Fadel, in the presence of the coordinator of the Episcopal Committee for the Christian-Islamic Dialogue Joseph Ibrahim Mahfoud.
A meeting was held in the presence of members from the Zakat Fund in Tripoli where both parties discussed the importance of helping those who are in need in Tripoli and the North region. Father Abboud assured that cooperation will be maintained between Caritas and the Zakat Fund and Dar Al Fatwah for the sake of the vulnerable and marginalized.
