A phrase inspired by Pope Francis “We are brothers” gathers all Caritas sisters from all over the world for a general assembly in Rome under the theme “Building New Paths of Brotherhood”.

A free medical day for migrant workers and their children was organized by Caritas Lebanon under the HAPPEN project in partnership with Caritas Austria at Beth Aleph school in Ashrafieh.

Caritas Lebanon President Father Michel Abboud during his sermon, highlighted the campaign’s slogan as a vow to remain and continue with the power of faith and love despite all the challenges.

Handovers in Zahle, Hasbaya/Marjeyoun and Saida/ Zahrani sectors took place where new members of the committee were appointed. The sectors of Western Bekaa and Rashaya members were renewed for another term.

A delegation from Caritas Germany visited Caritas Lebanon headquarters and toured the Primary Health Care Center and the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) for a more detailed account of the healthcare services provided to the beneficiaries.

Caritas Lebanon President Father Michel Abboud, accompanied by the Director of Programs Nayla El Khoury, met with the General Director of the European Commission Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) Esmee De Jong.

President Father Michel Abboud visited the Chamber of Commerce in Zahle, where they were greeted by the Chamber’s Vice-President Antoine Khater.

Caritas Lebanon, under the EU funded FIIAP project, visited Spain and worked together with Spanish institutions on community policing and good practices.

A delegation from Caritas Austria and Caritas Salzburg visited Beth Aleph school and spent the day with the children where they were greeted with dances and gifts.
