Against All Odds: Caritas Lebanon Humanitarian Convoy Reaches Border Villages

Caritas Lebanon successfully delivered a humanitarian convoy of 30 trucks carrying food and essential supplies to the border towns of Ain Ebel, Debel, and Rmeish, despite significant security challenges. The mission reflected Caritas Lebanon’s commitment to supporting communities that have remained on their land under exceptionally difficult conditions.

Accompanied by representatives of the Maronite Church, the Apostolic Nunciature, and partner organizations, the convoy provided a vital lifeline to residents facing limited access to basic necessities.

Following the delivery, the convoy was unable to return to Beirut due to shelling along the route and was redirected to the Irish UNIFIL base to ensure the safety of all participants. Caritas Lebanon confirmed that all team members were safe and reiterated its unwavering commitment to standing by the people of South Lebanon.

“What binds us to you is deeper than distance, stronger than circumstances, and more resilient than any obstacle.”
