In their unwavering commitment to assist the displaced people, the Caritas Lebanon team, joined by a delegation from the World Food Program (WFP), conducted a site visit to evaluate the initiatives undertaken in this regard.
The WFP delegation included Carl Skau, Deputy Executive Director; Matthew Hollingworth, Country Director; Cyril Noujeim, Program Policy Officer; and Samah Helou, Programme Policy Officer from the Emergency Response Unit.
They were welcomed by Father Michel Abboud, President of Caritas Lebanon, along with Dr. Nicolas Hajjar, Vice President and Marie Rose Khatchadourian, Head of the Social Department.
During their visit, the delegation toured the Faqra catering kitchen, which operates daily to produce over 10,000 hot meals. These meals are distributed to displaced individuals from affected areas, with the goal of addressing their essential needs.
This visit reflects the importance of cooperation between international and local organizations to ensure the necessary support is provided to families impacted by the challenging situation.
