Caritas Lebanon Welcomes Congratulations on Election of New Board
Following the election of its new board, Caritas Lebanon held two days of congratulatory receptions honoring:
The ceremonies took place at the Mar Antonios Monastery in Ghazir, the headquarters of the Lebanese Maronite Order, and at Caritas Lebanon’s central office in Sin el-Fil. Current President Father Michel Abboud, Vice President Dr. Nicolas Al Hajjar, and board members welcomed the well-wishers in an atmosphere of warmth and mutual appreciation, reflecting on Caritas’ humanitarian and ecclesial mission.
Both Father Samir Ghawy and Father Abboud emphasized that Caritas’ work continues steadily regardless of leadership changes, with successors building on the efforts of their predecessors. They highlighted the essential role of volunteers, staff, partners, and supporters in sustaining Caritas’ mission, relying always on divine guidance to open paths of hope.
