In honor of world day against trafficking in persons, Caritas Lebanon funded by the German Catholic Bishops MISEREOR launched a study under the title “An Exploration of the Mental Health Risks and Suicide Risks of Migrants Workers and a Call for Policy Reform” at Notre Dame University–Louaize.
The purpose of this study is to shed light on the challenges that the migrant workers in Lebanon face and how important it is to support them and work on improving their conditions and mental health. The migrant workers face many risks due to the difficult circumstances as well as the discrimination and humiliation from their employers. Therefore, let us let us join hands and work side by side to combat suicide.
