Medical Campaign in Marjayoun Halted Amid Deteriorating Security Conditions in the South

Caritas Lebanon, in collaboration with the Directorate of Military-Civil Cooperation in the Lebanese Army, the Ministry of Public Health, and with financial support from the European Union, organized a free medical day at the Marjayoun Public High School, benefiting over 105 people during its early hours.

However, the campaign was paused due to the escalating security situation in the area, to prioritize the safety of both the beneficiaries and the medical team, which included around 30 members. The team remained on site for about three hours, awaiting further instructions before receiving clearance to leave.

Despite initial concerns, the situation eventually stabilized, and it was confirmed that the campaign would continue in other southern areas, including Klayaa and Rmeich, depending on the prevailing security conditions.
