Together with the diverse migrant communities living in Lebanon, Caritas Lebanon marked International Domestic Workers’ Day through music, dance, fashion, and a vibrant display of traditional crafts and food.
Held under the theme “Rich in Diversity, United in Humanity”, the event celebrated the rich cultural heritage and unique talents of migrants from 25 countries across Asia and Africa, living and working in Lebanon.
Organized as part of the LEA–Lebanon project “Eradication of All Forms of Forced Labour and Exploitation” funded by the European Union and implemented by Caritas Austria, the event shed light on the challenging working conditions faced by migrants’ workers in Lebanon and the need for the migrant workers’ law reforms.
The gathering was a meaningful occasion to promote respect and inclusion as we work together to build a society grounded in dignity and shared humanity.
The event was held at Crypt of St. Joseph Church – Monot, Ashrafieh
