Caritas Lebanon inaugurated the main center of the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) in Keserwan-Jbeil. This unit operates to intervene in all potential emergency situations in Lebanon, such as fires, explosions, earthquakes, and more.
This center not only focuses on providing emergency services but also serves as a continuous training hub to educate citizens about emergency situations. Its doors are always open to welcome the youth of the region, offering them support and assistance in developing their skills.
The response unit currently comprises 175 volunteers and has completed 480 tasks in the year 2023. The ERU organizes training courses, awareness sessions, and various other emergency missions.
