A meeting was held at the residence of His Eminence, Sheikh Al Aql of the Druze Unitarian Community in Lebanon, Sami Abi Al-Mona, with Dr. Nicolas Al-Hajjar, Vice President of Caritas Lebanon, along with a delegation from the health department to discuss future Health and Social cooperation.
Dr. Nazih Abu Shahin, representing the Health and Environment Committee, attended the meeting along with Mr. Nizam Hatoum, Assistant to His Eminence.
His Eminence, Sami Abi Al-Mona, emphasized the importance of integration between humanitarian institutions to serve the community, particularly those with urgent health needs. He also stressed the need for coordination between the two institutions to achieve meaningful impact across various regions.
Dr. Nicolas Al-Hajjar stressed the value of partnerships between social institutions and religious leaders in advancing charitable efforts, calling for a unified approach to benefit the community.
As a first step toward broader cooperation, it was agreed to organize a medical day in Aley, with the date to be confirmed later.
