Caritas Lebanon Launches Training Program in Food Preservation and Cooking at Its Community Kitchen in Dekwaneh

Caritas Lebanon has launched the inaugural session of a specialized training program in food preservation and cooking at its community kitchen located within the Caritas Social Center in Dekwaneh.

The program spans two months and involves around 40 women from the local area. It aims to equip them with modern skills and knowledge across various fields, including food preparation techniques and safety, managing a home-based cooking business, cost calculation and raw material estimation, as well as marketing and sales strategies.

This initiative is part of the project “Enhancing Protection and Livelihood Opportunities for Vulnerable Groups and Host Communities in Lebanon,” implemented by Caritas Lebanon in partnership with Caritas Denmark. The project seeks to support local communities by developing capacities and improving the economic and social conditions of beneficiary families.
