Caritas Lebanon held a Mass for the repose of the soul of Fr. Pierre El Rahi, spiritual advisor of the Qlayaa–Marjeyoun region, and Sami Ghafari, brother of Monsignor Maroun Ghafari, former president of the Tyre region.
The Mass took place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at St. Rita Church in Horsh Tabet, presided over by Bishop Paul Abdel Sater, with the participation of Fr. Samer Ghaoui, Caritas Lebanon President, clergy members, family, and staff.
In his homily, Bishop Abdel Sater highlighted the deep bonds uniting the Caritas family and honored the lives of the deceased, emphasizing Christian faith in the resurrection and eternal life. He described both men as devoted to their communities, their land, and their faith, and as individuals who loved sincerely and were loved in return.
He concluded with a message of hope and consolation, encouraging unity, prayer, and trust in God, and affirming that love and faith ultimately triumph over death.
