The President of Caritas Lebanon, Fr. Michel Abboud, accompanied by Vice President Dr. Nicolas Al Hajjar, met with H.E. Franziska Honsowitz, Ambassador of Austria to Lebanon, in a courtesy visit to discuss humanitarian and social cooperation.
Fr. Abboud presented Caritas Lebanon’s mission and ongoing projects in health, education, social care, and development, emphasizing support for vulnerable communities amid Lebanon’s ongoing crises.
Ambassador Honsowitz praised Caritas Lebanon’s efforts, reaffirming Austria’s commitment to backing humanitarian and development initiatives that strengthen social stability and support Lebanese families and refugees alike.
The meeting concluded with mutual appreciation for the longstanding collaboration between Caritas Lebanon and Caritas Austria, highlighting shared values of solidarity, human dignity, and service.
