In line with their ongoing collaboration to support vulnerable populations and improve access to education and healthcare, a delegation from Caritas Austria visited Caritas Lebanon to explore the services provided by the organization.

The delegation included: Alexander Bodmann, Vice President of Caritas Austria and Director of Caritas for the Archdiocese of Vienna; Johanna Koller from the Press Team at Caritas Salzburg; Claudia Prantl, Programme Manager for the Middle East Unit at Caritas Austria; Aglaia d’Aligny, Programme Manager for Lebanon at Caritas Austria; Mohamad Karim, Finance and Operations Officer for Lebanon at Caritas Austria; and a group of media professionals from the Austrian Press Agency (APA), Profil Newspaper, and ORF Salzburg.

As part of the RHEP (Regional Holistic Education Program for Vulnerable Children) funded by the Federal Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Austria and supported by Caritas Austria, they visited Caritas Lebanon’s Patriarch Sfeir Center in Zahleh, which specializes in supporting children with disabilities and learning difficulties. During their tour, they explored a range of services, including workshops, speech therapy, psychomotor therapy, and other essential activities that help empower vulnerable children.

The delegation joined Caritas’ Medical Mobile Unit, providing vital healthcare to vulnerable communities, and toured the Primary Healthcare Center in Sin El Fil, observing comprehensive healthcare services available to the local community.
