The Health Department of Caritas Lebanon welcomed the Head of Cooperation of the European Union Delegation to Lebanon, Alessandra Viezzer, and the EU Program Director, Madhuri Severgnini, Programme Manager, during a health campaign held in Al-Qlayaa. The visit was attended by Dr. Shajib Hossain, Health Sector Coordinator; Rana Raad, Ministry of Health Coordinator at PHCCs in Nabatieh; CIMIC Director General Iyad Al-Alam; Vice President of Caritas Lebanon Dr. Nicolas Hajar; Treasurer Nadim Nader; Executive Director Gilbert Zouein; Lama Srour, Head of Business Development; Dr. Bernard Wanna, Head of the Hasbaya–Marjayoun Region; Fr. Pierre Al-Rahi, Parish Priest, along with several mayors, local leaders, media representatives, and journalists from various outlets. The event took place in the hall of St. George Church in Al-Qlayaa.
The delegation toured the health campaign organized by Caritas Lebanon in collaboration with Civil-Military Cooperation Directorate @lebanesearmy_official @ministry_of_public_health & financially supported @euinlebanon
The campaign provided over 300 medical consultations, including general medicine, cardiology, endocrinology and diabetes, gynecology, and pediatrics. Additionally, lab tests, screenings, and free medications were distributed
