Coordination Meeting between the Directorate of Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) and Caritas Lebanon

As part of the ongoing cooperation between the Civil – Military Cooperation Directorate (CIMIC) of the Lebanese Army and Caritas Lebanon in the health sector, a delegation from Caritas met with Brigadier General Iyad Al Alam and several officers from the Directorate to discuss and coordinate the upcoming medical day in the city of Tyre.

 

The Caritas delegation included Vice President Dr. Nicolas Al-Hajj, Communications Department Head Mazen Moussawer, Head of Media Maguy Makhlouf, and pharmacist Lea Mchantaf.

 

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Hajj congratulated the Lebanese Army on the election of General Joseph Aoun as President of the Republic, wishing him success in restoring stability to Lebanon. He also expressed Caritas Lebanon’s pride in its partnership with the Army, which began four years ago by providing services to citizens in need. This collaboration was further strengthened two years ago through the Military-Civil Cooperation Directorate (CIMIC) to organize free medical days in Ain Ebel and Jezzine.

 

Brigadier General Al Alam, welcomed Caritas Lebanon, commending the organization’s core value of love that transcends sect, religion, and denomination. He expressed pride in the joint efforts that began under President Joseph Aoun and praised the continued partnership between both institutions in their shared mission to serve humanity.

 

Following the discussion, Lieutenant Colonel Nabil Fayyad presented details on the implementation of the medical day program.

 

The free medical day will take place on January 18 at the Tyre Public Middle School, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It will offer consultations with general practitioners, cardiologists, endocrinologists, diabetologists, gynecologists, and pediatricians, along with laboratory tests and the distribution of medications.
