Caritas Lebanon, with the support of Caritas Germany organized a free medical day funded by BMZ.
At Caritas sector in Antelias, more than 5,000 medicine boxes of 67 different types were distributed to 2,000 beneficiaries in addition to medical consultations carried out with the support of Caritas Austria under the COPE project funded by the Federal Ministry Republic of Austria Social Affairs Health Care and Consumer Protection.
60 people including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and Caritas youth were present to facilitate access to medication and organize the process.
The number of participants pointed to the growing need for medicines in Lebanon’s difficult economic situation.
