Lebanon’s First Lady visits Caritas: Lebanon will rise again through the will of its people

Lebanon’s First Lady, Mrs. Nehmat Aoun, affirmed during her visit to the Caritas Lebanon headquarters that Lebanon will rise again through the will of its people, stressing that coexistence remains the country’s true strength and that solidarity and love are key to overcoming the current crisis.

Father Ghaoui briefed her on Caritas Lebanon’s efforts to support displaced families who remain in their villages, focusing on aid distribution, resilience, and essential humanitarian and social services.

In her address, the First Lady praised the organization’s inclusive approach, highlighting its commitment to serving all without discrimination. She commended the team’s nationwide efforts and reaffirmed the full support of the President and herself for initiatives aiding both displaced families and those staying in their communities.

She emphasized that Lebanon’s history has shown that no group can exclude another, and that unity remains fundamental. Concluding on a personal note, she expressed solidarity with those affected, underscoring the importance of overcoming this phase together through compassion and mutual support.
