Under the invitation of Caritas Lebanon – Saida-Zahrani and Nabatieh Sector, the Christmas recital “Your Light Returns”, sponsored by and attended by Archbishop Elie Bechara Haddad and Archbishop Maroun Al-Ammar was held at Mar Elias Maronite Cathedral and featured performances by the Lebanese Army Orchestra, the “Liganos” choir, and singer Ms. Nisrine Al-Hosni, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere filled with hope and joy.
In his address, the President of the Sidon Sector emphasized that Caritas’ mission is to bring light and hope, especially during Lebanon’s difficult times, reminding everyone that darkness is not the final word and that new beginnings emerge even from suffering. He also welcomed the Commander of the Lebanese Army, General Rudolf Haikal, and praised the strong bond between the military and the community.
Archbishop Maroun Al-Ammar greeted attendees at the Maronite Archdiocese of Saida, praying for peace, blessing, and hope for Lebanon, and expressing gratitude for the presence of General Haikal and his wife, highlighting the army’s role in protecting both the nation and its people.
The recital embodied the spirit of Christmas, emphasizing love, solidarity, and the enduring light of hope that Caritas seeks to share with the community.
