Caritas Lebanon paid tribute to Mrs. Aurore Ibrahim, former president of the Metn III sector, in recognition of her donation of a fully equipped medical center, complete with all medical equipment, to Caritas.
The ceremony was attended by Father Samir Ghawy, President of Caritas Lebanon; former ambassador Johnny Ibrahim and his wife, Mrs. Maya Nehme Ibrahim; Dr. Nicolas Al Hajjar, Vice President; Mr. Nadim Nader, General Treasurer of Caritas; General Secretary Attorney Fadi Karam; Father Roland Mourad, Coordinator of the Sectors; Mrs. Marie-Thérèse Labaki, President of the Metn III sector; Mrs. Takla Khawand, head of the Caritas Sin El Fil PHCC; and a team from Caritas Health Department.
The event opened with a speech by Father Ghawy, who thanked Mrs. Ibrahim for her voluntary service to the poor and for her humanitarian initiative in offering her medical center to Caritas. He said: “We are proud of people who possess a strong sense of family belonging, like Mrs. Ibrahim, who has given so much to Caritas over the past 50 years. Our great thanks to the Lord, because you have stood by every person in need.”
Mrs. Ibrahim, in turn, spoke about her love for this institution, which has dedicated its mission to serving humanity. For this reason, she decided to donate the medical center founded by her family to provide healthcare services to those who cannot afford to visit a doctor or obtain medication.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Father Ghawy presented Mrs. Ibrahim with a certificate of appreciation and gratitude in recognition of her humanitarian contributions.
