Dear friends,
Caritas Lebanon is much more than an organization; it is the living presence of the Church in service to humanity. In every project, every campaign, and every act of solidarity, we strive to reflect Christ’s love for the poor and vulnerable. We carry out our mission with confidence that God’s providence guides our steps, even amid the trials that our beloved country continues to endure.
The stories and initiatives you will discover in these pages highlight our ongoing efforts to embrace the human person in all their dimensions; Spiritual, Social, Health, and Development. Whether by supporting families in need, empowering youth, protecting the dignity of workers, or offering relief to those affected by conflict and displacement, Caritas remains committed to a holistic service of Love.
This newsletter is both a testimony of what has been achieved and an invitation to walk with us in solidarity. We cannot fulfill this mission alone; we rely on your prayers, your generosity, and your continued support. Together, we can bring hope, restore dignity, and bear witness to the Gospel through action.
Together, and with God’s grace, we continue to serve.
Fr. Michel Abboud
President of Caritas Lebanon

BRINGING CARE WHERE IT'S NEEDED MOST
EU, Caritas, and Partners Strengthen Medical Support in Lebanon’s Border Regions
Amid rising healthcare needs in Lebanon’s border areas—particularly in the South—the European Union, in collaboration with Caritas Lebanon, the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), and the Civil-Military Cooperation Directorate (CIMIC) of the Lebanese Army, has expanded its medical support through a series of coordinated health campaigns.
These initiatives aim to bridge gaps in access to essential healthcare services for vulnerable communities facing geographic isolation, economic hardship, and increased pressures due to regional instability. With EU funding, Caritas Lebanon has deployed mobile medical teams and organized free health days across multiple towns, including Al-Qlayaa in the South and Halba in the North, offering general and specialized consultations, lab testing, and free medications.
These multi-location campaigns underscore the EU’s sustained commitment to Lebanon’s health sector, not only by addressing immediate medical needs, but also by fostering long-term collaboration between civil society, military coordination bodies, and governmental institutions to improve public health outcomes across the country.
