Sagesse Technical School Rising from the Rubble

07 April 2021

The August 4 Beirut Blast destroyed almost 160 schools;

Sagesse Technical School located in Achrafieh has been severely damaged, including its teaching equipment and laboratories. The school condition was jeopardizing the education of more than 240 students - prospective youth seeking to become technical professionals in different fields, and the job security of more than 80 educators. Under the BALADI Program funded by USAID and implemented by Caritas Lebanon, and in partnership with Risalat al Mar'a, the Sagesse Technical School has been provided with IT and laboratory equipment to replace the ones that have been severely damaged. The equipment provision, worth $23,425, funded by USAID, was done in the presence of BALADI’s USAID representative Ms. Dalia Lakkis and will enable the Sagesse Technical School to pursue its activities and provide educational and social services.
