Patrons of the Eparchies of Saint Maron - New York, and Our Lady of Lebanon - Los Angeles visit to Caritas Lebanon
Within the framework of their mission to support Lebanon, their Eminences Bishop Gregory Mansour, Patron of the Eparchy of Saint Maron - New York, and bishop Elias Zeidan, Patron of the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon - Los Angeles, visited the headquarters of Caritas Lebanon in Sin El Fil where they were hosted by the President Fr. Michel Abboud, along with a team of directors and departments' managers at the organization.
The bishops were briefed on the various works and projects executed by the organization amidst the hard circumstances, and they discussed ways of future cooperation that aims to support and assist Caritas projects.
The President also thanked all those who contributed, participated and donated through the sovereigns and with the Lebanese community in the United States and stressed on the importance of their support, which allowed Caritas to reach a large number of families and help individuals at various levels such as providing shelter and food, as well as repairing damaged houses due to the Beirut Blast, and also paying children's school fees among other services.
Also, Bishop Gregory Mansour, praised the efforts of all the volunteers, the employees, all the members of Caritas Lebanon Youth and all those who are curators of the tireless work of Caritas during such challenging and tragic conditions for the sake of every human being in Lebanon, carrying the message of the Lord. He also urged the support to the organization in order to alleviate the severity of the social crisis.
Bishop Elias Zeidan highlighted the importance of cooperation and of solidarity to overcome the current stage and that there are no limits to free-giving and to love.
