MOU signature between "Baladi" program and 11 religious organizations to implement projects that meet the Lebanese society’s needs

Since 2020, Lebanon has been enduring various crises, including an economic downfall, a massive blast in Beirut’s port, an increasing political instability, in addition to the Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, the BALADI Program funded by USAID Lebanon and implemented by Caritas Lebanon expanded its horizon by executing new projects to fulfill the Lebanese community's basic needs, which were endangered and severely affected due to the above crises.

On Thursday, June 17, 2021, the BALADI Program hosted around eleven faith-based organizations (FBOs) to celebrate the Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) signature of the new sub-grants, in the presence of Caritas Lebanon president, Father Michel Abboud. The new projects revolve around psychosocial and mental health, agriculture, environment, Persons with Disability, Livelihood, and education. It includes the provision of equipment and capacity-building programs, worth $494K. The BALADI Program, through this partnership, is supporting the FBOs in reaching out and assisting the vulnerable Lebanese communities, in all Lebanon, reaching 3,570 beneficiaries.
